Drawing back the punters: I recently made note that The Dollhouse chrome pole palace (Walking Street) had introduced draught amber fluid at just 39 baht as part of an attempt to woo back the only punters left in Fun Town at present: namely, the long-term expats and regular visitors. The price has now changed to 55 baht, which I think is far more sensible for the owners as I really can’t see how they would be making much money at 39 baht. That price remains the discounted thirst quencher all night. Happy hour runs from 8:00-10:00pm with all house liver wasters, Thai rotgut, and lolly water at 55 baht. Certainly the joint seems busier now because of the new policy. There have been upwards of 25 dancing damsels taking to the revolving stage and scattered about what is quite a spacious bar on the last couple of occasions I’ve wandered in, with a number of the professional wallet emptiers being very easy on the optic nerve. Well worth putting back on the list of places to visit.
