Back in the sake: Where there’s a closed door leading to an already constructed den of the chrome pole, there will always, so it seems, be potential operators. The times may be a bleakin’ but down in Soi 15 off Walking Street the defunct shell formerly known as Sakura Club 69 has apparently been sold for a reported couple of million baht. From what I understand there are two European owners and they plan to re-open the den and see if they can succeed where others have failed. I wish them good luck, because it will take a lot of money and commitment, and some genuine business nous, to stay afloat in these truly tough times.
